Summer Pre-AP Academy (Summers)
Are you planning on taking an AP course at your high school next year?
Congratulations! AP courses inspire, challenge, and provide you the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school.
Do you want the necessary competitive edge to be truly successful in these college-level courses?
Great! You will be excited to hear that ELP is offering summer Pre-AP experiences to ensure that you are prepared for the rigor and skill demanded by Advanced Placement courses in area schools.
What will you get from this experience?
At ELP, we will provide you an opportunity to develop necessary confidence and skill to be fully ready when the school year begins. Our staff of enthusiastic veteran AP teachers knows what it takes for students to be truly prepared for the challenges of the school year ahead.
Why is this for me?
The opportunity to earn college level credit in the high school is a wonderful one. Many students taking AP Courses in area high schools enter the program unsure about what to expect. It often comes with a lot of worries and anxieties. Relax - ELP can help. Our summer academy will provide every student with the practice, confidence, and skill to excel in the year-long AP class. After taking our summer academy, you will join your AP class in the fall fully prepared and ready to go.
Who will be teaching me?
At Enlightened Learning Pathways, our highly experienced staff has nearly 50 years of experience teaching Advanced Placement courses. We have seen firsthand the need for prerequisite skills and confidence as students embark on the journey of college level coursework in the high school. Pre-AP Academies are offered in the following areas of concentration:

Choose an AP Academy in one, two, or all three of the above areas depending on need or desired support.
When is this Pre-AP Academy offered?
We know that summer is a time to relax and rejuvenate. Know that our staff wants you to learn, grow your confidence, and enjoy spending time preparing for your AP experience. We promise that your learning opportunity with us will not only inform but inspire! To ensure your participation in our academy, we provide multiple times to sign up for the course(s).
What if I need help getting prepared for my AP course but can’t make it to the scheduled AP Academies?
No worries - even if you have an incredibly busy schedule, you can sign up for individual support hours for any AP course during the summer or during the school year. At ELP we will help you with summer packet completion, reading materials, course requirements, or any other AP course study or work.
What if I need help after the Summer Pre-AP Academy once the school year starts?
At ELP, we will continue to support your AP experience long after the summer ends. You will be offered the opportunity to return throughout the school year to receive critical one-on-one support as you progress through your AP coursework. Every AP course is a journey involving new learning and challenges, and we are ready to be your guide on your pathway to success. Check out our AP Tutoring section below.

Guided Study
Our office provides a safe, supportive, focused, and comfortable environment to maximize students' time.
Students are attending school in a period of unprecedented change and distraction. Many students and their families recognize that trying to get work done at home can be incredibly challenging.
At ELP, we can help!
Our office learning center is staffed by our own experienced teachers to guide, support, and encourage our students as they complete work assigned in school.
We can help you with all the core subject areas, including AP: critical reading and writing in social studies and English and problem solving in all levels of high school and college math and science. At ELP, we recognize the difficulty students have in trying to complete work and assignments when electronics, friends, and other activities compete for their time.
We meet with each student when they arrive, set tangible goals for the evening, and report back the progress made - all in a relational and relaxed atmosphere suited to a student’s individual learning needs and style.

Academic Recovery
Students fall behind in their academic work at school for many reasons. Some students are sailing along and suddenly have to miss time at school because of emotional or physical illness and might have to spend time in the hospital. Other students miss school for family concerns - a death or illness of a grandparent overseas, a family vacation, a celebration, a crisis out-of-state, or even the illness of a family member in the home. Other students simply procrastinate and fall behind on major assignments, and the problem becomes compounded when the student feels overwhelmed. At ELP, we understand that there are times in every student’s academic life when a support team is needed to help a student recover and find the confidence and stability that being caught up in school work brings. Our experienced staff will work with you to ensure that you are able to both successfully complete the work that might have been missed AND support you with the ongoing work you are expected to complete on a daily basis.
